We are hiring a passionate Business Development manager to drive business growth and attract potential investors to the company's two funds. These funds offer tax incentives to UK investors who support small and early-stage businesses, making them an attractive investment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential target investors, industry trends, and competitor offerings. Use this information to develop effective business development strategies.

  • Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels, including networking events, cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and partnerships with financial advisors and wealth managers.

  • Investor and Adviser Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors and wealth managers. Provide them with in-depth information about the EIS/SEIS funds, explaining the benefits, risks, and potential returns.

  • Presentations and Pitches: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and pitches to potential investors, showcasing the advantages of investing in the EIS/SEIS funds and addressing any queries or concerns they may have.

  • Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated with the latest regulations and compliance requirements related to EIS/SEIS tax-efficient funds. Ensure that all marketing materials and communications are compliant with the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) guidelines.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including the investment team and marketing department, to align business development strategies with fund performance and marketing efforts.

  • Events and Conferences: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to raise awareness about the EIS/SEIS funds and expand the network of potential investors.

  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to the senior management team on the progress of business development activities, including the number of leads generated, investor conversions, and overall performance.

  • Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from investors and industry professionals to identify areas for improvement in fund offerings, marketing strategies, and customer service.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest developments in the tax-efficient investment landscape, industry best practices, and changes in government policies that may impact EIS/SEIS funds.

Job requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the financial services sector or investment industry

  • In-depth knowledge of EIS and SEIS tax-efficient investment schemes in the UK

  • Strong understanding of financial products, investment principles, and risk management

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
