Environment, Health & Safety - Manager

Job description

  • Manage the maintenance and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives.

  • Conduct, coordinate and track various training to support company programs like First-Aid training, Lab safety training, New joiner induction training and tests (India and UK), firefighting, fire hydrant training, etc.

  • Working with the EHS team for Key Cooperative promotion of safety governance in the Company.

  • Conduct routine safety audits (external and internal), ensuring compliance with EHS policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Manage & maintain internal and regulatory reports including data collection, observations, SOPs, policies etc.

  • Liaising with government authorities like GPCB, the fire department, and DISH.

  • Ability to take necessary steps to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.

Job requirements

  • A relavent degree in B.Sc or M.Sc in Fire and Safety/Chemistry with PDIS (Post Diploma in Industrial Safety).
  • 8-10 years of relevent work experience in Pharma or chemical company, managing and implementing safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives.
  • Clear understanding of EHS principles & strategies.
  • Have a passion for EHS as well as being open to continuous learning and education.
  • Creative thinking to spot new ideas and initiatives for safety awareness and promoting safe culture across site(s).
  • Be highly organized with the ability to work independently in a fast paced team environment.
  • Ability to work in a team in a transparent and entrepreneurial culture.
  • Self-motivated with initiative to reach challenging targets.
  • Outstanding business writing and proofing skills with fearless and positive mindset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and good at drafting process and policies.
